MOBILE, Alabama - USA Powerlifting has certified 62 state records set Saturday at the Alabama State Powerlifting Championship at the Fort Whiting Auditorium.
Nineteen lifters put entries in the record book on Saturday.
In the men's raw division, the state-record breakers were:
165-pound open: Dillon Blaylock 405-pound squat, 295-pound bench press, 510-pound deadlift, 1,210 pounds combined.
220-pound open: Jason Webber 570-pound squat. Chris Slater 405-pound bench press, 600-pound deadlift, 1,500 pounds combined.
Superheavyweight open: Brandon Hill 700-pound squat, 450-pound bench press, 650-pound deadlift, 1,795 pounds combined.
242-pound junior: Will Wright 610-pound squat, 415-pound bench press, 660-pound deadlift, 1,685 pounds combined.
275-pound junior: Timothy Garrett 425-pound squat, 325-pound bench press, 500-pound deadlift, 1,250 combined pounds.
123-pound teenage: Cason Smith 145-pound squat, 125-pound bench press, 210-pound deadlift, 480 pounds combined.
165-pound teenage: Dillon Blaylock 405-pound squat, 295-pound bench press, 510-pound deadlift, 1,210 pounds combined.
198-pound teenage: Darrell Gattis 385-pound squat, 285-pound bench press, 500-pound deadlift, 1,170 pounds combined.
181-pound masters 40-49: Jay Todia 285-pound squat, 225-pound bench press, 385-pound deadlift, 895 pounds combined.
220-pound masters 40-49: Willard Johnson 340-pound squat, 275-pound bench press, 400-pound deadlift, 1,015 pounds combined.
242-pound masters 40-49: James Flowers 455-pound squat, 365-pound bench press, 435-pound deadlift, 1,255 pounds combined.
165-pound masters 70-and-older: C. David Lindley 205-pound squat, 125-pound bench press, 265-pound deadlift, 595 pounds combined.
198-pound masters 70-and-older: Tom Kalen 310-pound squat, 215-pound bench press, 340-pound deadlift, 865 pounds combined.
198-pound bench press only: Mikey D. Weaver 330 pounds.
242-pound masters 40-49 bench press only: James Flowers 365 pounds.
220-pound masters 50-59 bench press only: James Lemon 95 pounds.
Superheavyweight masters 50-59 bench press only: Wayne Rachel 425 pounds.
One state record was set Saturday in the women's raw division:
181-pound masters 50-59 bench press only: Bea Smith 70 pounds.
Five state records were set in the men's equipped competition:
242-pound masters 50-59: Tim Womack 610-pound squat.
242-pound masters 60-69: Daryl Haskew 300-pound squat, 220-pound bench press, 320-pound deadlift, 840 pounds combined.
